Exploring the Secrets - Advantages of Lithium Polymer Batteries

1. High Energy Density

The working voltage of a single battery can reach up to 3.6V to 3.8V, far higher than the 1 and 2V voltages of nickel hydrogen batteries and

nickel cadmium batteries. Its capacity density is significant, 1.5 to 2.5 times or higher than that of nickel hydrogen batteries or nickel cadmium

batteries. Lithium polymer batteries are 10-15% higher than steel shell batteries of the same size and 5-10% higher than aluminum shell

batteries, making them the preferred choice for color screen phones and MMS phones. Most color screen and MMS phones on the market

also use lithium polymer batteries.

2. Good Discharge Characteristics

lithium polymer batteries use colloidal electrolytes; compared with liquid electrolytes, colloidal electrolytes have stable discharge

characteristics and higher discharge platforms. Therefore, its self-discharge is small, and its capacity loss is also tiny after being placed for

a long time.

3. Long Life

The cycle life of the lithium polymer battery can reach more than 500 times in everyday use.

4. No Memory Effect

The battery has no memory effect and does not have to empty the remaining power before charging, which is convenient to use.

5. Good Safety Performance

The lithium polymer battery uses aluminum-plastic flexible packaging in the structure, which is different from the metal shell of the liquid

battery. Once there is a security risk, the liquid battery is prone to explosion, and the lithium polymer battery will only bulge at most.

6. Small Thickness

The lithium polymer batteries assembled by manufacturers are very thin and can fit into credit cards. Ordinary liquid lithium batteries adopt

the method of customizing the shell first and then plugging and unplugging the positive and negative electrode materials; Thickness less

than 3.6mm, there is a technical bottleneck; Lithium polymer battery cells do not have this problem, and their thickness can be less than

1mm, which meets the current demand direction of mobile phones.

7. Light Weight

Lithium polymer batteries Batteries using polymer electrolytes do not need a metal shell as a protective outer packaging. The weight of the

lithium polymer battery is 40% lighter than the steel shell lithium battery of the exact capacity specification and 20% lighter than the aluminum

shell battery.

8. Low Internal Resistance

The internal resistance of lithium polymer batteries is lower than that of typical liquid batteries. The internal resistance of domestically produced

lithium polymer battery cells can even be lower than 35, greatly reducing battery power consumption and extending the standby time of mobile

phones, fully meeting international standards. This lithium polymer battery supports high discharge current and is an ideal choice for remote

control models. It has become the most promising alternative to nickel hydrogen batteries.

9. Shapes Can be Customized

Lithium polymer battery manufacturers are not limited to standard external dimensions. They can be economically made into the correct size.

Batteries can be increased or decreased in thickness according to customer needs, and new battery models can be developed with low prices

and short mold cycles. Some can even be customized according to the shape of the phone, fully utilizing the space of the battery casing and

improving battery capacity.

10. The Protection Board Design is Simple

Due to the use of polymer materials, the lithium polymer battery cell does not catch fire or explode; it inherently provides sufficient safety.

Manufacturers can consider omitting PTC and fuse in the protection line design of the lithium polymer battery, there by reducing battery costs.
